At present, the encapsulation films of double-glass modules mainly include EVA film and POE film. EVA film is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer with a low melting point, good fluidity, high transparency, and a mature lamination process. It is the main packaging material for double glass components. However, due to the low strength of the EVA film, the moisture permeability and water absorption rate are large, and the weather resistance is poor.
For double-glass modules, edge sealing is required, but during normal use, water vapor still passes through, causing film fogging, affecting light transmittance, and reducing the power generation of the module. POE is an ethylene-octene copolymer. It is a new type of polyolefin thermoplastic elastomer developed with metallocene as a catalyst with narrow relative molecular weight distribution, narrow comonomer distribution, and structural controllability.
There are currently two types of POE films on the market. One is non-crosslinked polyolefin potting materials, which do not contain crosslinking agents. Combined with the use of functional polymers, the heat resistance and adhesion of the materials can meet the requirements of use. The other is a cross-linked polyolefin encapsulant containing a peroxide cross-linking agent or a silane cross-linking agent and a tackifier.
EVA film is more and more widely used in various optical products and current components in terms of adhesion, durability, and superior optical properties.
POE has the general characteristics of thermoplastic elastomers, with excellent toughness and good processability, and also has excellent cold resistance, weather resistance, and aging resistance.

It also has optical application value and is also used in solar photovoltaics.
There are two kinds of production methods: roll forming and water cooling forming. The thickness of the finished product is 0.38-1.52mm, and the width is 500-3400mm. Transparent, color strip and full-color film are optional.
EVA hot melt adhesive film is one of the ingredients in hot melt adhesive film. It is a plastic adhesive. The main material is EVA, which is an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, which is a high molecular polymer. This material has a white matte surface when not in use at room temperature, and becomes transparent after use.
EVA hot melt adhesive film has good adhesion to polypropylene, film, sponge and other materials and some components of rubber. EVA hot-melt adhesive film has good elasticity, and it is divided into the paper-lined type and paper-free type. EVA hot-melt adhesive film is a low-melting hot-melt adhesive film with a melting point of only about 70°C. Although the elasticity is good, it is not suitable for the clothing industry. Due to its poor washability, it cannot be applied to some materials that need to be washed.
